From the 190 North or South: Take the Elm Street exit (exit 6) and merge onto Seneca Street. From Seneca Street, make the first right on to Michigan Avenue. Take the second right onto Scott St (after going over the bridge). Continue on Scott Street, which becomes Marine Drive, and take a left onto Hanover or Lloyd streets and merge onto Prime Street. You have arrived at Canalside.
Alt Route from 190 North: Take the Church Street exit and continue on Church before making the first right onto Lower Terrace. Continue on Lower Terrace and turn right onto Pearl Street. Continue to the end (Marine Drive) and make a right. You have arrived at Canalside. Two-hour parking is available to the right on Hanover or Prime Streets.
From the Skyway/Route 5: Take the Skyway (Route 5) East and take the 190 North/Seneca Street exit. KEEP LEFT at the fork and at the end of the ramp, turn right onto Pearl Street. Continue on Pearl all the way to the end and take a left on Marine Drive. You have arrived at Canalside. Two-hour parking is available on the right side of Prime Street and on Hanover Street.
From Washington Street or Michigan Avenue: Drive downtown (south) on Pearl Street or Washington Avenue. Take a right on Scott Street. Continue on Scott Street, which becomes Marine Drive, and take a left onto Hanover or Lloyd streets and merge onto Prime Street. You have arrived at Canalside. Two-hour parking is available on the right side of Prime Street and on Hanover Street.
Via NFTA Metro Rail: Park & ride the Metro Rail, it’s free from the Fountain Plaza Station to the Erie Canal Harbor Station! Canalside is located at the final Inbound Stop (Erie Canal Harbor Station). View a schedule and more info at NFTA Metro Rail online.

Many people think the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park and the The Erie Basin Marina are the only places to park at Canalside. Although they are great options, their lots fill up fast! If you arrive via Washington Street or Michigan Avenue there is ample parking located in surface lots and ramps. There are hundreds of parking spaces in the Historic Cobblestone District, which is only short two short blocks away from Canalside! Specifically, check out the lots along Perry Street, as well as the First Niagara Center Parking Ramp and the HARBORCENTER Parking Ramp- all of which have handicap accessible parking. There is also on-street and metered parking available on many of the surrounding streets.
Park & Ride: Canalside is also conveniently located at the final Inbound Stop (Erie Canal Harbor Station) on NFTA Metro Rail.
